Tell me about your most embarrassing moment. Not a lot embarrasses me, however, back in college I was driving around on campus to waste time between classes. Well, it was warm outside so as soon as I got into my car after class I rolled down all four of my windows to quickly cool off the inside of my car. I pull out of the parking lot and rolled my windows back up. Then precede to crank the AC and turn on my music and start singing(not prettily I might add) at the top of my lungs. A couple minutes into me driving around I happen to notice laughter and funny looks from the students walking the paths and sidewalks. I then realize that I did NOT successfully roll up my back windows and I had been rocking out to Spice Girls ‘Wanna be’. Needless to say, from that point on I only rolled down my front windows to cool off my car. The crazy singing still continues to this day.
What is the one thing you couldn’t live without? My car. I love to travel and road trip. I know a lot of people out there live to work and save their money. I, however, work so I can live and travel. My goal is to hit all 50 states before I’m 40, and I must say that I’m over half way there.
What is your current pop culture obsession? I love Meghan Trainor!! I love her so much I am even friends w her on snapchat. Ok, ‘friends’ is pushing it. I stalk her on snapchat.
Do you have any special skills we should know about? I have this special skill called the gift of gab. I can keep people talking for hours…. I mean HOURS!!! When my friends and I get together their loved ones know not to expect them home because we will be out till all hours talking about our ‘hobbies.’ Oh and I can touch the tip of my tongue to my nose.
Do you have any special interests? Disney and Harry Potter
What is your favorite night spot? My couch, watching a movie (or Netflix) with my fiancé in our pjs. It’s nice to be able to be alone and focus on us. Of course, a night out is always fun too!
What do you do for fun? Theater, read, hang out with fiance/family/friends and watch tv.
What is your guilty pleasure? The movie Pride and Prejudice (the Keira Knightley version of course). I watch it all the time. That and theme parks. Oh and Gilmore Girls!!
Cast Bio
Gentry is very excited to be apart of her 23rd Hard Road show. This is a fantastically funny little show and she couldn’t be having more fun. You may have seen her on stage as Frau Blucher in Young Frankenstein, Magenta in Rocky Horror Picture Show, Sally in Drinking Habits, or Dragon in this past summer’s production of Shrek The Musical. As much as she enjoys being on stage, she throughly enjoys sitting in the directors chair. She has had the pleasure of directing the kids the past four years in Winnie the Pooh Jr, The Little Mermaid Jr, Peter Pan Jr, and Alice in Wonderland Jr. This summer she has the privilege of directing Beaty and the Beast Jr. She wants to say a huge thank you to everyone that supports her (you know who you are).
Now Gentry wants to tell you a story, a story about HER first date. It was freshman year of high school. He was sweet, kind and very cute. He wrote her a note and slipped it into her hand before the start of history class. He had asked her out for the following Friday. When the time came he knocked on the door. She opened it to find him standing there with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. He was so sweet. He took her to her favorite restaurant and a movie. He was such a gentlemen. Later that night, when dropping her off, he walked her to her door and gave her a little kiss on the cheek and said ‘I had a great time and would love to call you tomorrow.’ Practically perfect! Now, Gentry’s first date…… well, Gentry’s first date was nothing like this First Date. Sit back and enjoy as we take you on a ride through FIRST DATE: A Musical Comedy!!!
