Tell me about your most embarrassing moment. Oh Gosh…let’s see… Ok. When I was running my own theatre company I use to take my production staff out to lunch on the weekends when we would build, paint, or design sound. One weekend we had been painting on Friday and I decided to wear the same clothes on Saturday since they were already pretty mutilated. Saturday, before heading to the theatre, I decided to take my set painters out to lunch. We stopped at a very nice fairly new Chinese buffet where I kept getting really rude remarks and weird looks from the server and the other staff members. I thought it was odd, but I left a tip and said “thanks” as I was headed out the door. As I made a couple more steps towards the door I stepped on something squishy…I looked down. Even though I had worn the same clothes from the day before I had changed my underwear and socks, of course… leading to me forgetting to take my boxers out of the pants and dragging them around the buffet line on the floor – half hanging out of my jeans. That was a little rough.
What is the one thing you couldn’t live without? My fiancé is pretty much my right hand. I have a feeling if she wasn’t part of my life I would be in rough shape.
Do you have any special interests? I am a really big Elvis Presley fan. Also, I really love roller coasters.
What is your favorite night spot? To be honest…my favorite night spot is typically a summer evening after building a set or a long rehearsal. When the summer air is thick and muggy and the combination of paint and fresh cut pine fills the parking lot…yeah…that’s a good night.
What do you do for fun? When I’m not doing a show, I really enjoy spending some quality time with my other half. Whether it be going out for drinks, hanging out with friends, or watching a movie in our pjs, it’s just nice to have some time together where all we have to worry about is us and not our obligations or our shows.
